At Roebuck Primary School, students in Years 1 to 6 participate in a vibrant and engaging Music program led by Ms Claudia Lemann. Through a range of creative and interactive learning experiences, students are introduced to all aspects of music, developing their knowledge, skills, and appreciation of the performing arts.
Throughout the program, students explore rhythm, pitch, melody, harmony, dynamics, music appreciation, composition, and performance. Lessons are designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and provide opportunities for students to express themselves through music while developing valuable collaboration and communication skills.
Ms Lemann also leads the Roebuck Primary School Choir, which brings together selected students from Years 4 to 6 who share a passion for singing and performing. Choir members regularly perform at special school events and celebrations, as well as representing the school at community occasions throughout the year.
The Music program plays an important role in enriching student learning, fostering creativity, and helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for music and the performing arts.
